Seymour Football Netball Club celebrated its star performers recently, with the best and brightest from season 2025 recognised at the club’s presentation night last Thursday.

The fairest and best players across each grade were crowned, with senior football co-coach Jack Murphy taking out the top footballing gong, the Gary Brown medal, while in A-grade netball it was back-to-back best-and-fairest awards for Ellie Fuhrmeister, capping off a fine season that also saw her place fourth in the Goulburn Valley League’s Wellman Medal.
Jack Radford added the reserves football best-and-fairest medal to his league goal-kicking and premiership medallions, while Toni Bootland was awarded the best-and-fairest and the best finals player trophies in B-grade netball, continuing a stellar season that saw her claim the GVL’s B-grade best-and-fairest.
Another GVL league medallist in Ruby Trimble took out the club’s B-reserve best-and-fairest, adding to her impressive haul of a premiership medal, best-on-court in the grand final and best in finals award to cap a remarkable 2025 season.
Ben McCarthy claimed the under-18 football top honour and Paige Cooper took out the under-17 netball best-and-fairest award, while in the under-15 netball it was Eden Webster who topped the vote count.
There were plenty of others recognised for an outstanding year, with runner-up best-and-fairest honours, coaches award winners and most improved players, as well as various other club award winners, all acknowledged on the Lions’ night of nights.
