Despite the absence of standout scores, Saturday’s par event at the Nagambie Golf Club was a success.
Two solid +2s were returned, and Peter Lawrence’s win added to the event’s overall satisfaction.
Lawrence’s win is just another in a year that has provided his best returns ever.
The runner-up was a refreshed Lindsay Hall, while Terry Lowis, the club par specialist, rounded out the top three.
Hall shot two good shots to win the nearest-the-pin prizes on the third and 16th and Mick O'Connell went closest on the 13th.
Next week’s golf is a two-man Ambrose, with S. Bryant on office duty and D. Phelan in the bar.
