Archer Backway kicked three goals, while James Priest, Isaiah Scoble and Ben Chapman kicked two apiece.
There are 15 teams involved in the four rounds of Under-16 grading, with Echuca Bombers certain to be in the top grade after kicking 29.22 to Yea’s three behinds in their match.
Other big winners were Shepparton United Demons, that beat Seymouor by 76 points and Shepparton Notre Bears Gold, 106-point winners against Euroa.
• In an opening round battle of sister sides, St Augustine’s Yellow and Blue, it was four goals from Archie Shepparrd and three from Charlie Pekin that gave Yellow a 50-point win.
They had support from Flynn Burrows and Toby McKiernan, while Diesel Emini and Riley Nicholson did their famous football names justice by finishing among the best for Yellow.
Cooper Wilson and Ethan Greiner both kicked goals for St Augustine’s Blue and Jonty Sefton was also among its best players.
• Tongala Junior Football Club drew a large crowd to the recreation reserve on Sunday for the first appearance of the club at Under-10 level in the Goulburn Murray Junior League.
The Blues face off in two games against the St Augustine’s club, with 14 teams in all starting the Under-10 season.
