We had another solid win on the weekend going into the long weekend bye.
King Valley definitely brought a challenge and we found ourselves playing a panicked game in the first quarter while being down through the term.
Ally Ellis steadied the ship down back in GK and provided us with turn overs and intercepts.
Once we found ourselves in our playing groove, Ruby Richardson dominated through our mid court with her pace, intensity and her decision making, while Kylie Relf shot nicely down our attack end allowing us to pull away on the score board.
Best: Ally Ellis (Riverbank Cash award), Ruby Richardson (Goorambat Railway Hotel Award), Kylie Relf (Early Bird Award)

Coming off a narrow loss the previous week, the girls were determined to prove themselves.
From the first centre pass, there was some fantastic ball movement in attack that was rewarded with the conversions by Sophie Hammond and Aneiki Peirce.
Maddie Dunne was a stand out in WD with intercepts and deflections all game.
The defensive duo of Nikki Wallace and Fiona Doig worked tirelessly and were pivotal in the conversions.
With some great passages of play by all players on court, it was easy to see the girls had regained their momentum and are keen to keep this up against Bright in two weeks.
Great team effort by all.
Best: Maddie Dunne (G&S Gall Cash Award), Nikki Wallace (Goorambat Railway Hotel Award), Fiona Doig (Early Bird Award)

The warm and unexpected sunny day at King Valley made for a great day of netball. The Bats started out goal for goal with an improved Valley from previous weeks.
Goalers Erin Hernan and Brooke Haddrell made for some great feeding from mids Abby Hammond and Ella Woods.
From the first quarter the Bats took the lead, defensive pressure was great with some great movement and intercepts from Alyssa Priest who was named best on court, and Kirby Davis gave no room for Valley’s goalers.
The Bats had fresh legs, with Hayley Meinichk and Bri Putt coming on, they gave great drive and flow to the bats game.
The Bats extended their lead and didn’t take the foot off.
Young gun Yolanda Bourke came on in goals and put on score board pressure, as the Bats took the win and more confidence out of the game.
Best: Alyssa Priest (Muscle Mend Award), Bri Putt (Advanced Ag Thursday Night Dinner Award), Kirby Davis (Bill-Bo-Pop Award), Yolanda Bourke (Coaches Award)

The girls came out with some game experience this time facing off against the very experienced King Valley girls.
They were confident in themselves and made fantastic plays down court and into the ring, with strong consistent support from Charli Button.
Back from injury this week we saw Katelyn Russell back on court and trying out a new position, finding her feet in the ring defensively with the guidance and encouraging support from Lacey Carter.
Although the girls tried their best and worked as a team, the experience and accurate shooting from the King Valley Roos proved too much.
A huge improvement from the first time facing them earlier in the season.
Best: Charli Button (Hume Solar Cash Award), Katelyn Russell (Willspread Contracting Cash Award), Lacey Carter (Terry White Chemmart Award)

After a very hard, intimidating and maybe an information overload at training on Thursday against Goorambat A grade, the girls came out on a mission this week against King Valley.
Everyone on the court knew their job and each player had something to work on individually, and that’s exactly what the girls did.
Each and every one of them drove well and handled the ball with more confidence which saw them hit the score board well in the first half. They kept pushing even as the King Valley score kept creeping higher and higher, it didn’t rattle the Goorambat girls, they stayed focused on their own game.
Their defence grew stronger and stronger as the game went on, and the girls hit a personal best on the score board to date, finishing with a blitzing last quarter to put 17 goals on the board, the most they have scored this season.
Best: Bonnie O’Callaghan (Hume Solar Cash Award), Meika Smith (Sports Power Award), Chloe Culhane (Spot 4 Ice Cream Award)
