After two losses to start the 15-and-under section two mixed competition, the Wolves were huffing and puffing at the McEwen Reserve courts on Saturday.
And it didn’t take long for opponents Saints Sapphires to have their house blown down.
The Wolves proved too strong on the court and outlasted the Sapphires to claim their first victory of the season 26-18.
In other round three matches, Mooroopna White defeated Saints Jade by 24 goals.
Tatura Cyclone dominated Mooroopna Green 33-13, while Shepparton Christian College Lions Blue defeated Saints Rubies in a high-scoring thriller, 37-33.
Mooroopna White and SCC Lions Blue sit first and second, respectively, on the ladder as the last two undefeated sides.
News photographer Rechelle Zammit was courtside at McEwen Reserve to take snaps of all the GSSC Wolves-Saints Sapphires action at the weekend.
