Schools across the district used it as an opportunity to hold their annual Footy Colours Day events.
There was a sea of colour at each school campus participating, with grand final contenders the Sydney Swans and Geelong Cats heavily supported.
A few students also braved the heckling by wearing other team colours.
Students and staff had jerseys, scarves, hats, socks, shorts, flags and posters all proudly supporting their favourite teams.
