Thursday, June 23:

Kingball was the game of choice on Thursday and there were 20 players keen to show their skills.

Unfortunately for some of us the skills left us temporarily while others put on a clinic. There were lots of laughs and fun regardless of the scores.

The players who skills shone through were the day’s winner Doc Ryant and runner-up Greg Brierley.

Tuesday, June 28:

A very chilly start to a beautiful day with 17 players rugged up to play doubles. After three games it was Leon Koch who won the day with Maurice Jones the runner-up. Greg Brierley scored two hoops in one and James Harrison scored one hoop in one.

Friday, June 24:

Twelve members all played three games.

Winners for the day was Johnny Tarrant over three games with a plus 4. A close second was Glenda Kelly, three games with a plus 3.

Two hoops in one went to Glenda Kelly, and one for Lyn Keillor. Jump shot for the Day went to John Graham.

Monday, June 27:

Fourteen members enjoyed three games in nice sunny weather.

Winners for the day were first-placed Vince Jessen (three games with a plus 9), while a close second was Steve Kelly (three games with a plus 7.)

In third place and just missing the third game by one point was Rolly Griffiths. Jump shots went one each to Johnny Tarrant and Ian Walshe. Hoops in one went to both.

We play Monday and Friday at Victoria Park Tennis Courts, with a 9am assembly for a 9.30 start. Everyone is welcome to give croquet a try.
