Div. 2 scored an emphatic 71-35 victory against Tongala, winning on all three rinks.
Ella Hipworth, Bruce Clancy, Chris Taylor and Paul “Trapper” Snare (skip) won a low-scoring encounter 15 shots to 11, and Tony Tonta led his side including Toni Brooksby, Lindsay Franklin and Steve King to a comfortable 26-12 win.
The final team of Tyler Hillier, Mark Tasker, Jo Bovell and Bryan Kemnitz (skip) made sure of the overall 36 shot victory when they cruised home, 30 shots to 12.
Div. 3 travelled to Lockington and came home with a solid 66-49 victory. Carly Crothers’ side was defeated 14 shots to 21, and Tony Danckert’s crew including Mike Donohue, Jill Grimshaw and Ken “Titch” Salter had to work hard for their 21-17 triumph.
But the overall 17 shot victory came on the back of Jenny Tonta, Mick Atley, Keith Hay and Scott Vesty(skip) when they claimed a 20 shot win, 31 shots to 11.
Div. 5 White had their early season unbeaten run thwarted when they suffered a 20 shot defeat at the hands of Echuca Blue, going down 25 shots to 45.
Craig Murray’s rink suffered a 12-24 loss, while Lloyd Ritchie’s side also was beaten, 13 shots to 21.
But Div. 5 Blue continued on their merry way when they accounted for Kyabram, 43 shots to 32.
Alan Hardcastle called the shots for John Murray, Tony King and Ian Chessells in their 24-20 win, and Darcy Nilsson, Craig Lowe, Ken Bowden and Col Knuckey (skip) went on with the job when they won their game, 19 shots to 12.
