In A-grade, the seventh placed side Tocumwal is still searching for a first win of the season.
They will get their first opportunity when they resume this Saturday, January 10 in a one-day match against the Deni Rhinos.
After this, they have a bye, followed by two two-day matches against sixth placed Katamatite and seventh placed Katunga.
There are four rounds to go before the four team finals' series starting on February 28.
The top four in that competition currently includes Cobram, Nathalia, Barooga and Deniliquin respectively.
In the 10 team B-grade competition, several local teams are in contention to feature in finals.
Berrigan are in second place on the ladder with nine wins and two losses so far this season.
Meanwhile, Finley is in fifth place, half a game out of finals with seven wins, three losses and one no result due to an abandoned match.
Further behind, in eighth place, is Jerilderie.
Despite only having one win for the season, the Dees have been extremely competitive, scoring more than 100 in all but three matches.
There are seven matches left in the season, resuming this Saturday, before the one-day two round finals' series starting at the end of February.
In C-grade, the Finley side is travelling well on top of the ladder with eight wins and one loss.
Also competing well is Tocumwal who is in a tussle for finals, currently in fourth place with five wins and four losses.
There are five rounds left in the eight team competition, which resumes next Saturday, January 17.
The one-day finals will take place across the same two weekends as A-grade and B-grade.
In the junior cricket, Tocumwal is set to contend in the under-17s finals.
Toc is currently fourth on the ladder with one win so far this season and with two one-day matches remaining.
These resume of Friday, January 30 after their two-day bye.
The under-15s resume their season next Saturday, January 17, with Tocumwal on top of the ladder with five wins and one loss.
The combined Berrigan and Finley side currently sits just outside of finals in fifth spot.
In that competition, there are two two-day matches and two one-day matches remaining in the seven team competition before finals start on March 7.
There have been eight rounds completed in the under-13s, with four T20 games remaining.
Tocumwal in fourth, Berrigan in fifth and Finley in sixth will all aim to improve their ladder positions in the competition.
There are no finals for the eight-team competition.
In the youngest MVCA competition, the under-11s, Jerilderie, Finley, Tocumwal and Berrigan have all competed well.
Four T20s remain, which will be hosted between January 29 and February 21.
In the Griffith District Cricket Association, the Coleambally Nomads’ second grade side is top of the ladder, undefeated with five wins.
The one-day matches resume against Leagues Club Panthers on January 17 with five matches left in the season.
The Nomads’ third grade side is also in contention in fourth on the ladder with two wins and two losses. They have two remaining T20s in February.
