Yarrawonga cricket was greeted by some premier cricket royalty last weekend, with the Melbourne Cricket Club making the trip to Yarrawonga to showcase its skills and share its passion for the game with the local community.

The highlight of the weekend came on Sunday, when about 50 young cricket enthusiasts took part in a junior clinic. The kids were thrilled to have the opportunity to get involved, learn new skills and enjoy plenty of fun and fanfare alongside the MCC representatives.
The clinic was a great introduction to cricket for the younger players, while giving them the chance to learn from experienced cricketers and soak up the atmosphere of having some premier talent in town.
The weekend was made possible through the mutual connections of Yarrawonga footballer Dan Howe with the Melbourne Cricket Club.
His links with the club helped bring the visit together and provided the local cricket community with an opportunity that may not otherwise have been possible.
