Two novice croquet players, Frank Conallin and Jim Jennings, were the successful three game winners.
Frank Conallin scored the major points, and in third was Peter Whittakers.
Several two game achievers were in contention, including Faye Druitt, Terry Murphy, Brad Fawns, Rod Fawns, Brian Dudley and Rex Kernich.
There were 10 jump shots on the day, with four by Jim, and two each by Rod, Andy Davis and Frank.
On Wednesday, 13 members beat the rain to complete three games.
Leo Barry and Peter Whittakers were the three game winners on the day, with Leo edging out Peter on a count back.
The two game achievers were Mario Cavallaro, Brian Dudley and Tony Bull.
Only three jump shots were scored on Wednesday, with one each by Leo, Brian and Peter.
Aside from the regular play, it’s a busy week for the Deni club.
Deniliquin members played in the Cross Border Trophy at Echuca on Monday.
The Echuca-Moama club was successful in retaining the trophy for another year.
Today and tomorrow, Deni is hosting a two-day croquet course - the first of a total six-day event.
The course is sponsored by the Victorian Government, through Deniliquin Croquet Club’s association with the Goulburn Valley Croquet Association.
Two club members - John James and Fred Littmann - are also away representing the Deni club in a tournament at Williamstown, Melbourne.
