Club Tocumwal proudly hosted the Victorian 2-Person Ambrose Championships at the weekend, welcoming players from across the state for two days of outstanding golf, strong competition and perfect playing conditions.

With the course presented in superb condition and the weather delivering ideal scoring opportunities, competitors produced some exceptional results across both the men’s and women’s fields.
The championships produced a brilliant display of golf across the two days.
The Women’s 36-Hole Championship delivered one of the highlights of the weekend, with the scratch title decided by a dramatic three-hole playoff in tense scenes. After finishing level following regulation play, Kim Morris and Geraldine O’Callaghan held their nerve to claim the championship, defeating Rowena Wallace and Maxine Sadler, who finished as worthy scratch runners up.
The nett honours in the women’s event went to Jeanette Nelson and Julie Daniel, with Louise Cross and Judy Langford securing the nett runners up position.

In the Men’s 36-Hole Championship, Peter Kane and Jason Driscoll claimed the scratch title, with Darcy Doyle and Jim Haynes finishing as scratch runners up.
The nett competition was won by Tyson Burns and Luke Drake, with Graeme Dale and Ben Matthews named nett runners up.
There were plenty of good scoring opportunities on the Club Tocumwal course.
