Three teams won both their matches, and they were only separated by the barest of margins.
Bryan ‘Boof’ Kemnitz, Ken ‘Titch’ Salter and Mick (just Mick) Atley took the honours with plus 33 shots, closely followed by Fran Quinn, Lee Pattinson and John Flisher who had plus 32.
Bruce Clancy, Bill Young and Jamie Shields were only a further shot back, on plus 31.
John Flisher then took his chance to find the joker and the very handsome $2450 cash jackpot.
He failed miserably, however, which leaves $2500 up for grabs after play tomorrow, with only seven cards left on the board.
Names for play tomorrow are to be in by 12.30pm for a 1pm start. Phone nominations will be accepted by calling 5881 1348.
