COACHES CORNER / JEREMY O’BRIEN
What’s the biggest focus for your group in 2026?
Just to win some games of footy. Although it probably wasn’t a plan 12 months ago to be in the PD, I think it’s probably the right move for the club and I think we’re seeing the benefits of it.
What will supporters notice about this team?
We’ve certainly been training pretty hard, so we hope we’re fitter than what we were last year. Our ball movement will be a little bit better than what it was last year as well with some of the guys that we’ve recruited.
What’s your side’s greatest strength?
We have a fair bit of flexibility in the team. We have got guys that can play a multitude of positions, so I think we'll be able to change the magnets around a fair bit.
What still needs the most work?
What we wanted to move towards this year was just getting more players back to the club, which we feel like we’ve been able to do.
What does success look like for this group in 2026?
I don’t exactly know where other clubs are at, but we’ll certainly want to push towards finals - we’re certainly not going to shy away from that fact, but we still know there’s a lot of work to do.
