A special thank you from the club to those who filled in and played extra games on the night due to a few players short.
The tension in the air was palpable as Smashers and Badminators battled to keep in the competition.
Badminators won by the ‘skin of their teeth’, winning by only four points with a close score of 366-362.
Congratulations to nine year-old Nivedh Manuprasad for winning three games for Badminators.
Nivedh has only started playing badminton and has already impressed fellow players and spectators with his high level of skill and techniques.
Three game winners for Smashers were Manuprasad and Steve O’Neill.
Smashers are now eliminated from the competition.
Hotshots came out on top again with victory over Shuttle Masters with a score of 407-380.
Ian McMillan was the only three game winner for Hotshots.
Hotshots have now secured a place in the grand final on December 11.
In Monday’s preliminary final it will be Badminators versus Shuttle Masters.
