Avenel recently celebrated a successful Kyabram District League season, as players, coaches, staff and supporters came together for its annual presentation night.

Highlighting the hard work each Swans side put into the 2021 season, the night was a welcome reminder of how much the club had achieved during the year despite its unfortunate end at the hands of COVID-19.

Brayden Avola took home best-and-fairest honours for the seniors, winning a tight count from equal runners-up Kyle Maynard and Jack Myers.

In the A-grade netball side, Georgia Velt came away with the best-and-fairest award, while Nikki Lord finished runner-up.

The quest for 2022 success begins on Wednesday night with pre-season football training beginning at 6.30pm, while netball training starts at 5.30pm Thursday.

The Avenel Football Club is calling for junior players in the under-13s and under-18s.
