AFL exports | Mundy's Dockers fail to get off the mark over Suns

Seymour’s David Mundy had a front row seat to a revitalised Gold Coast outfit at the weekend, with the Suns beating Fremantle by 13 points.

With scores level at three-quarter time, the Suns broke the stalemate with two goals to secure their third-straight victory this season, while the Dockers have yet to sing the team song, sitting second-bottom on the ladder.

Mundy, in his third game this year, gathered 16 disposals (eight contested) and applied four tackles and 20 pressure acts.

● Josh Schache has yet to feature for Western Bulldogs this year, but could be in line for a call-up this week.

Following the Bulldogs’ 28-point win over GWS in round four, forwards Aaron Naughton and Sam Lloyd sustained injuries which will require surgery.

Dogs’ defender Hayden Crozier told Triple M this week the team was well-stocked in its depth and pinpointed Schache as one option to replace either teammate.

● This year's AFL fixture has been thrown a curveball, with QLD state government restrictions keeping Victorian teams out with harsh quarantine measures.

Three games have been changed for round five, with more expected in coming weeks.
