As president of the Shepparton Agricultural Society, I am proud to reflect on our strong connection to this community and the changes I have seen at the Showgrounds over the years.

Our society and show began in 1876. In more recent times I have watched the substantial redevelopment that began in 2003 transform the grounds. Facilities were upgraded, the grandstand carefully relocated and the site modernised to better serve both the annual show and the wider community, while still honouring its agricultural heritage.
These improvements would mean little without the people who make everything happen. My sincere thanks go to every volunteer who gives their time and energy — whether on the committee, at the gates, in the pavilions or working behind the scenes. Your dedication is the heart of the Shepparton Show.
I especially want to express deep appreciation to our show secretary, Julie Winch. Julie’s tireless organisation, attention to detail and constant support keep the society running smoothly. We are extremely fortunate to have her.
As we look ahead to celebrating 150 years, the future of the show is bright. I look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Showgrounds for another memorable event.
