Saturday's title decider is being played in Fiji for the first time, in Ba, which is about 200km from the capital Suva.
Due her commitments with the Australian sevens team, Hinds only made her Super W debut in the Waratahs' semi-final win over Western Force, with the starting flyhalf crossing for a first-half double in the 33-24 victory.
Having already played for the Wallaroos at last year's World Cup, as well as sevens at the Rio and Paris Olympics, Hinds is a proven big-game player.
With a large, vocal crowd expected at Four R Stadium, the Tahs will need to keep their wits about them as they chase a record-extending seventh title and third under coach Mike Ruthven.
"Tia made a commitment to be a part of the Waratahs really early on this year and made a really concerted effort around her sevens commitments to make sure that she was getting some exposure into our environment," he told AAP.
"When she became available for selection it was a really seamless fit for us and last week just showed what a what a talented footballer she is.
"Tia's been unreal for us and no doubt she'll be a really important player for us tomorrow - she's a tried performer at the highest level, done it a number of times on the biggest world stages, so her experience in that sense will be valuable."
Hinds will again partner Waiaria Ellis in the halves, while another teenage star Caitlyn Halse will make her first start since the opening round, at fullback.
Ruthven said the Waratahs felt more excited than daunted about attempting to win the title against the Drua, who were minor premiers, in Fiji, with all other finals played in Australia.
"It's not necessarily the toughest (final), but I think it's the most exciting," he said.
"Obviously it's a great occasion for the Fijian Drua to be hosting a final at home for the first time, and a nation that absolutely love their rugby, so it's certainly the most exciting opportunity for our girls to play a final in this sort of environment.
"No doubt Fiji have certainly been the form team this year and they'll be a tough challenge over here, but I see it as more of an exciting opportunity than something that we should feel daunted around."
Ruthven said his players needed to match the Drua's physicality and contain their off-load game, while NSW had also identified their discipline as a key to victory.
"Their physicality, their ability in and around their offload game pre and post contacts, so they're probably the the two things that we certainly know we're going to get tomorrow.
"But the girls have have prepped hard, worked hard and we'll certainly be doing our best to nullify both those parts of the game."
