More details of a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Shepparton’s CBD on Monday have emerged.
The accident happened at the corner of Corio St and Sutherland Ave around 5.30pm on August 18.
The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old Shepparton man, sustained significant lower-body injuries.
Ambulance Victoria said Advanced Life Support and Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance paramedics attended the scene, before the motorcyclist was airlifted to The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Shepparton police said it appeared the rider had been attempting to overtake a turning vehicle when the collision occurred.
A Royal Melbourne Hospital spokesperson confirmed he was in a stable condition on Tuesday morning.
The section of Corio St where the collision happened was reopened shortly after, at about 6.30pm.
