A truck hit part of a power pole on a main Shepparton road on Wednesday afternoon, September 24.

Police said a cattle truck travelling south on Florence St hit a transformer box on a power pole, ripping it off at about 3.10pm.
It has taken out power to traffic lights at the corner of Benalla Rd and Florence St and some surrounding businesses.
Powercor workers were on scene after the crash.

Florence St is blocked off between Benalla Rd and Enterprise Dve, and all traffic coming from Shepparton Marketplace wanting to go straight must turn left.

Shepparton Fire Rescue Victoria is also on scene, putting absorbent material into drains to help clean up an oil leak.
