Congratulations to Edward River Council, Deniliquin Country Women’s Association and the Conargo Hall Committee for a wonderful celebration of International Women's Day 2026 (on Sunday).
Under the skillfull stewardship of Robbie Sefton AO, a panel of talented and committed women - Mari Drennan, Kate Butler, Perin Davey and Janette Falls - told their story of challenge and strength, inspiring others to strive their best in leardership and community enhancement.
With introductions by Cr Shirlee Burge, savoured by tasteful food a stimulating and motivational afternoon was shared in celebration of the hard work and achievements by women past and present, who have played important roles in changing attitudes, altering norms and demonstrating women's enfranchisement.
May we continue more fabulous days of celebration.
Yours etc.
Pat Fogarty
