Yarrawonga identity Nancy Wright had asked that the following letter be put in the Chronicle following her death.
To all those lovely people in this beautiful little town of Yarrawonga who have known me over a long (or short) time, I thank you for sharing my life and bringing me joy.
Maybe we stopped for a chat in the street, or you smiled and waved at me. Perhaps you phoned or called around on what you knew was a sad day or sent me a card or letter in the mail to bring me comfort. Some of you called in for a cuppa and a chat and we would tell each other of our joys and sorrows.
Perhaps we became kindred spirits and a deeper friendship grew. You may have even given me a wonderful hug or brought me flowers from your garden – or served me cheerfully in a shop.
I am especially thankful for my own caring family but also for the friendship and companionship of my church family, my golfing family and my art group family. Treasured friends and acquaintances all of you and a huge and happy part of my life.
Thank you and God bless for sharing my life with me. We’ll meet again.
With love and thanks,
Nancy Wright.
