A vehicle crashed into a shop window of Kitty and Co. in Belmore Street Yarrawonga last Wednesday, September 20 causing considerable damage to both vehicle and shop premises.

“It appears the driver utilised the accelerator instead of the brake and as a result, the vehicle has gone into the front of the shop,” acting Sergeant Phil Armstrong said.
“Fortunately there were no pedestrians on the footpath.”

The vehicle was a white Holden SUV, driven by an 80-year-old Yarrawonga woman. She suffered no injuries but was conveyed to Yarrawonga Hospital as a precautionary measure.
The accident happened at about 8.40am before the subject shop was opened. The scene was attended by Yarrawonga Police, Ambulance Victoria, SES Yarrawonga Unit and the CFA.
