The first will be the annual Harvest Thanksgiving service, where church members will gather to give thanks for the produce they’ve harvested and pray for another season of good harvest.
Secretary Janice Webster said the service was a celebration and chance to express gratitude.
“’Harvest Thanksgiving is a service we usually hold yearly. It is to celebrate the harvest,” she said.
“It’s a reason for us to remember that God created the Earth and created everything on it, and we should bless all those items.”
The church will set up a display in the church for the service, usually featuring some hay, implements and a box of produce.
On the day, guests are invited to bring along a few food items or products to donate to the Uniting Care Emergency Relief in Kangaroo Flat.
Non-perishable items are preferred such as long life products, canned food, cereals and more.
There has also been a strong need for baby items such as nappies and baby formula.
A re-dedication service will also be held following the Harvest Thanksgiving service to mark the official end to the church’s rebuild following the 2022 flood.
Shortly after the flood, the congregation quickly set up in the back room of the hall to host services while the church was rebuilt.
While the congregation officially shifted back into the church a few weeks ago, Ms Webster said the service would mark their return to the church.
“(It’s) basically to acknowledge that the church is now open again after three years,” she said.
“We've finally got around to finishing completely. It's taken us a while to get the new sound system and all that through it, but we've finally finished it all.
“We're not a large congregation, but... they're very happy to be back worshipping in the church again.”
The services, led by Rev Alan Lockwood, will be held on Sunday, November 30 from 10am.
