Youth Fest 2025 began at The Bridge Youth Service’s U-Krew program, where a number of community organisations came together for a range of engaging activities.
The event, supported by Mitchell Shire Council, featured a ‘random shirt’ activity with Gnarly Neighbours, as well as high-energy games with Reclink.
A shared footy food feast rounded out the afternoon, bringing the group together in celebration.
U-Krew facilitator Shannen Jenkins said the event was a highlight for the cohort.
“It was great,” she said.
“The U-Krew gang were chilled, they were all engaged, Brad and Bobbie were fantastic.
“A great way to celebrate Youth Fest.”

Youth Fest is a Victorian Government initiative celebrating the community and voices of young people aged 12-25.
With almost $220,000 in funding, more than 110 events and activities are set to be held across the state throughout September.
The Bridge Youth Service chief executive Melinda Lawley said the event reflected the organisation’s commitment to creating positive, youth-focused opportunities across its youth service areas.
“Youth Fest is about celebrating young people and giving them space to connect, create and thrive,” Ms Lawley said.
“Our Wallan event showed the power of simple, fun activities to bring people together and strengthen those connections.”
The Bridge’s U-Krew program, delivered in Wallan, equips young people with practical life skills, emotional wellbeing tools and strong community connections, through weekly sessions, mentoring and workshops on leadership, teamwork and career readiness.
The program aids The Bridge Youth Service in achieving its objective of instilling resilience, connection and celebration in young people.
