Leaders of two educational institutions have announced they will be meeting to discuss a possible merger.
Goulburn Ovens TAFE and Wodonga TAFE officials announced their intention to begin talks about a possible merger of the two institutions at a business lunch held by the Committee for Greater Shepparton.
The announcement was made by GOTAFE chair Candy Broad and Wodonga TAFE chief executive and GOTAFE acting chief executive Phil Paterson at the Captain’s Table Luncheon on Friday, May 16.
GOTAFE was established with the merger of Goulburn Valley Institute of TAFE and Wangaratta Institute of TAFE on October 1, 1996.
GOTAFE now has an operating revenue of about $90 million and more than 7000 students.
The News contacted GOTAFE for comment, but it was unable to provide one at the time of writing.
