Two cars were impounded for multiple driving offences on Melbourne Cup Day by Cobram Highway Patrol.

Police said a Corowa man was caught speeding on Yarrawonga Rd at 9am on Tuesday, November 4.
Cobram Highway Patrol Senior Constable Ryan Lindsay said the 20-year-old male was driving with a disqualified NSW licence.
“The man was driving a white Nissan Navara and displaying false plates belonging to another vehicle,” Constable Lindsay said.
A 35-year-old man also had his car impounded after he was intercepted by police and charged with speeding on Murray Valley Hwy at 7.30pm.
Police said the Katamatite man was driving a silver Toyota Camry and also had a disqualified licence.
“The man also provided police with a false name,” Constable Lindsay said.
“Public safety remains our priority,” Wangaratta police said.
