Now in its 12th year, the event continues to grow in both scale and community spirit.
This year’s trek ran from March 15 - 21 covering about 450 kilometres across regional Victoria.
Forty tractors took part, supported by a dedicated crew including a food van, backup truck for breakdowns, and a team of volunteers who kept participants well-fed and spirits high throughout the journey before reaching its final event in Yarrawonga.
Seven members of the Katamatite Vintage Tractor and Engine Club were involved in the trek and played a key role in organising the route. Coordinating an event of this size requires extensive planning, including catering, traffic control, fundraising efforts and logistics.
Funds raised from the event will go towards vital research and support services through MND Research Institute of Australia and Fight MND.
A big “thank you” goes out to all the local sponsors who provided wonderful accommodation and generous goods packages for the auctions, helping make the fundraising effort such a success.

The trek also provided valuable support to local communities, with participants staying at football grounds, purchasing fuel locally, and relying on community groups to provide meals and refreshments.
Despite four punctures along the way, there were no serious breakdowns.
Accommodation ranged from motorhomes and caravans to tents and swags, though some of the more rugged campers may be considering an upgrade before the next event.
Good humour was never in short supply, with some navigational mishaps leading to a light-hearted “thumbs down” presentation for those who lost their way.

Event coordinators Robyn and Neil Cole, who have been involved since the beginning, were recognised for their ongoing dedication and commitment to the cause.
The Two Rivers Run continues to highlight the strength of community spirit, bringing people together for an important cause while forging lasting friendships along the way.
Participants and supporters alike are already looking ahead to the next Tractor Trek in 2028.
