Environmental controls will be in place to manage potential impacts.
Works at the Hume Fwy bridge at Tallarook will also be conducted between June 1 and 30.
At the site, track lowering will be undertaken, as will reinforcement of abutments, construction of retaining walls and installation of drainage.
Works will be conducted Monday to Saturday between 7am and 6pm, and low-impact overnight works will also occur as required.
Additional traffic management at haulage route intersections will support the increase in heavy vehicles, and nearby residents may experience some noise and can expect additional workers and vehicles in the area.
