The Food and Wine Festival is returning for its fourth year, with the event set to take over Birdwood Ave from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, October 4.
Stanhope Development Committee president and festival committee member Glenda Cowie said the festival had a friendly and family-oriented atmosphere.
“Everyone sits around, listens to the music, and the kids have got their little play area, and it’s just very relaxing,” she said.
There will be plenty to tempt hungry festival-goers, with Salami Shack, Minimin Kitchen, The BBQ Shack, Timmering Food and Beverage Co, Angelo’s Pizza and Pasta, Stanhope Café, Grill-on Wheels, Grazy Sundays and Twista Potato among the food vendors.
Those after something sweet can choose from Dairy Fresh Gelato, Poffertjes Lane and OMG! Decadent Donuts, while coffee will be available from Upside Down Coffee on the Go.
Callipari Wines, Echuca Distillery, Three-Legged Cow, Strathbogie Estate and Wine X Sam will be among the festival’s drink offerings.
The cricket club will also run a bar.
Festival-goers can enjoy their food and drinks to the sounds of Tim Richards and duo The Wildlings throughout the day.
Children will have their own share of the fun, with jumping castles, handball, cornhole and activities run by Stanhope Primary School.
Adult entry is $5, with free entry for children.
