Rykah Stirling with this behemoth cod measuring 107cm.
It’s every rural fisho’s dream to land a ‘metery’, and eight year-old Rykah Stirling has gone and done it.
Rykah pulled in a massive 107cm Murray cod in the Colligen Creek over the Easter weekend, and in true country‑kid fashion, the big one took a simple sausage.
The fish measured well into trophy territory and gave him a moment he won’t forget any time soon.
It capped off an incredible few days on the water over the Easter long weekend, with the group landing around 30 cod in total, as well as a handful of yellowbelly over 50cm.
