On a day out on the water, Jack Gardam with his nephew Hardy, who’s just two years old, managed to catch a 45cm Murray cod.

The fish was caught on the water near Warbreccan Station, with the reliable bait of cheese getting the job done.

With only 10 minutes to spare to enter the Dash for Cash on Sunday at the Edward Kolety Fishing Challenge, Arley Bulmer caught a 55.5cm Murray cod.

His younger brother Louie (almost 6) also caught a Murray cod, measuring 50cm.

Both cod were tempted with cheese at the lily pond, Edward River.
