Dubbed Gordon, as a result of his frequenting of the Seymour street with the same name, the kangaroo has been spotted by a number of locals, all taken aback by his sheer size.
On Saturday, July 12, local Jennifer Chilver spotted Gordon on her way home from ballroom dancing at around 1am.
Ms Chilver said she noticed Gordon near the Masonic Lodge and railway line, and was just amazed to see him simply stand still and observe her.
“I’ve never seen one in town that big on his own,” Ms Chilver said.
“I was just astounded, absolutely astounded, to see him there.
“He’s a big boy, that’s all I know. It just took me by surprise where he was.”
Ms Chilver documented her encounter with Gordon on the Seymour Community Noticeboard Facebook page on Sunday, July 13.
The post has since amassed 297 reactions, seven shares, and 71 comments, many from locals who have themselves spotted Gordon.
