Regular visitors to Nagambie Primary School may have noticed a group of flat-faced loiterers pop up during the past few weeks, seemingly out of nowhere.

They’re the residents of Spoonville, and judging by local reception to their arrival near the staff car park, they are here to stay.
Originally conceived in Winnersh, England, the Spoonville was created as a way to help the mental health of the community during this pandemic.
The craze has spread across the world and into Victoria, where spoon villages have popped up in parks and nature strips.
Nagambie Primary School principal Rob French said the school’s Spoonville has been a hit with students and the wider community.
“Come for a walk and check out our community and don’t forget you can plant your own as new Spoonville people are always welcome in our garden,” he said.
