The team at Seymour Autopro has implemented several measures to safeguard customers and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cleaning and hygiene procedures have been ramped up and markings have been placed around the front counter to help people with social distancing.
But manager Ben Macpherson said some people were still failing to see the importance of social distancing.
“We’re committed to keeping your vehicle on the road and continuing to offer the service people love,” he said.
“But we need people to take this pandemic seriously. Most are doing the right thing, but we need everyone getting serious about this.
“You only have to look at what’s happening in Europe to see how bad it can become. Let’s work together as a community and save lives.”
Mr Macpherson said there had been no layoffs at Seymour Autopro and the team were committed to keeping the doors open for as long as the government allowed.
“The coronavirus situation is impacting our supply chain, which could mean delays on some products,” he said.
“But we ask people to be patient while we get things sorted and back on track. We’ve been here for your automotive needs for a long time and we will continue to do that.
“If we all practice social distancing and basic hygiene, we will all come out of this and return to normal.”
