On Saturday, April 27, all the best wine and food the region has to offer came together on the streets of Seymour for Tastes of the Goulburn.

Residents and visitors enjoyed a beautiful sunny day while strolling around Station St, trying wines, food, cheeses and local goods from businesses in the region.
Tastes of the Goulburn was a spectacular success with almost 60 vendors and 2500 attendees.
Event committee co-chair Anna Rogan said Seymour was the best place to host a showcase of the region as it was the gateway to the Goulburn Valley.
“Turn out for Tastes of the Goulburn this year was on par with 2023, which is an incredible achievement considering the many regional events and festivals that have been cancelled or significantly scaled back due to economic pressures and lower ticket sales this year,” she said.
“I'd like to thank our committee members who volunteered hundreds of hours of their time to make the festival possible and the many sponsors, supporters, local businesses, entertainers, vendors and volunteers who continue to provide their support.
“We do this because we love where we live, the people who live here and the delicious things they create. And we’re looking forward to doing it all again in 2025.”
Seymour resident Margaret Sheppard has enjoyed all the past Tastes of the Goulburn events and this year was no exception.
“I love listening to the music and enjoying the wines and food,” she said.
“First timers should just come and enjoy the day and see what the Goulburn Valley has to offer.
“Enjoy the hospitality of Seymour.”
Friends Louise Roberts and Emily Bourne enjoyed the sunshine at the event.
It was their second time experiencing Tastes of the Goulburn.
“I enjoy seeing the new vendors, if there’s anyone from last year come, tasting the wine, trying the food,” Ms Roberts said.
“Newcomers should try everything.
“Get a glass, go to the stalls, pack a bag to carry all the goods in and bring a hat.”
Meanwhile, Ms Bourne said she enjoyed the sunny day and getting to hang out with friends while enjoying the wine.
Emma and Sarah Ross, Dana Tate, John Adams and their dog Archie Tate travelled from Melbourne to enjoy the day’s events.
Emma and Sarah are originally from Seymour and brought their friends along to experience the best of the region.
Emma said she enjoyed the wine, while Sarah was basking in the sunshine.
