The pair, Heidi and Isabella from Seymour Flexible Learning Centre, were granted the opportunity through the Rotary Club of Seymour, which has an ongoing commitment to youth development.
Held at the picturesque Axedale campgrounds last month, the annual Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment brought together about 40 students from both metropolitan and regional areas.
RYPEN is designed to empower young people through a weekend of workshops, team-building activities and personal development sessions.
The focus is on enhancing communication skills, building confidence and helping participants unlock their full potential.
Reflecting during the Seymour club’s meeting on Monday, October 20, Heidi and Isabella shared their experience with the club and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity.
They each spoke enthusiastically about the friendships they formed, the challenges they overcame and the life-changing insights they gained.
“We’re so thankful to the Rotary Club of Seymour for giving us this chance,” Isabella said.
“It was an incredible experience that helped us grow in ways we never expected.”
