There were smiles, friendship and fellowship as far as the eye could see in a packed Seymour Bowls Club as the Rotary Club of Seymour held its annual changeover lunch on July 13.
Outgoing president Mark Dossor had a busy afternoon emceeing the event, which saw the club celebrate donating nearly $15,000 to community groups, honour two local legends and present Paul Harris Fellowships to five deserving members.
And all of that came before new president Ruth Byers was sworn in.

“It’s been a wonderful year,” Mr Dossor said.
“I consider it an honour to have been president twice and when you’ve got a good team working with you, it’s so fulfilling, it really is.
“This year we’ve raised some money and done some great service within the community.”
Mr Dossor said he knew Ms Byers would be a great president as she also prepared to serve in the role a second time.
“The only advice I’ve given her is just be president. Don’t take on anything else. Just do the job,” he said.
