To celebrate, locals gathered at the venue on Elizabeth St the night before its opening to see the results of recent renovations.
Seymour Club president Sandra O’Sullivan welcomed attendees to the space and expressed her gratitude for those present.
“I’d like to begin by acknowledging our platinum and life members in attendance tonight, as well as our board directors who generously volunteer their time and effort in support of our wonderful community club,” Ms O’Sullivan said.
“There are a few people here who deserve a sincere thank you for bringing this extensive renovation to life and creating a space where people can gather, connect and feel part of our community.”
Ms O’Sullivan gave a special thanks to Sarah Brock, the club’s general manager, Tarsh Ryan, who led the design of the space, and Gerard O’Sullivan, who managed the “vast majority of the work”.

The club is now open from Monday to Sunday, 10am to 11pm.
“The Seymour Club isn’t a pub or hotel — it’s a genuine community club,” Ms O’Sullivan said.
“We’re proud to contribute significantly to organisations across our region, many of which are well represented in the room tonight.
“Your support allows us to reinvest in the community and benefit a wide range of groups — from sporting clubs and charities to local events.
“We can’t thank you enough for your continued support, and we can’t wait to share this space with people from right across our community.”
