The Premier’s Flood Emergency Citation has been bestowed on members, recognising those who stepped up during the major NSW flood events from 2021 to 2023.
It acknowledges extraordinary service during some of the state’s most challenging emergencies.
The Deniliquin-Conargo Unit were also the proud recipients of The Commissioners commendation certificate recognising dedication, commitment and professionalism in providing assistance to flood affected communities during the 2022/2023 floods.
The awards were accepted by Unit Commander Tanea Bower and Deniliquin-based Commander of the Central Murray Cluster Jodie Graham.
Recipients of the citation receive a letter of appreciation signed by the Premier, Minister for Emergency Services, and the NSW SES Commissioner along with a pin and commemorative certificate.
The citation honours those who were part of the operational response during those challenging times, including those who assisted with evacuations, or helped people or animals trapped by floodwater.
