Sarah Winter-Irving from Nagambie is enrolled in second year at The University of Melbourne where she is focusing on ‘Food for a Healthy Planet’, covering the importance of achieving a balance between human need and the health of the environment.
Sarah comes from a farming family near Nagambie and will be taking courses in Sustainability and Geography.
This year she will be majoring in Geography.
Etienne Beaumont from Tabilk is enrolled in second year at The University of Melbourne where he is doing a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science.
He intends to major in Agribusiness in his final year.
Etienne comes from a farming family and has a background in sheep and cattle farming as well as the family vineyard.
The Seymour Agricultural Society wishes both of these fine students well.
The scholarship the Society awards each year shows a commitment to helping young people in the district, who aim to contribute to rural Australia.
Many people in the area who have donated money to this Scholarship fund over the years can feel proud of the role they have played in supporting our young achievers.
