On Saturday, September 13, the club held the annual event at the Seymour College junior games hall, and was overwhelmed by the support shown from the local community.
“The key players for the event were the hard-working members of the Rotary Club of Seymour, local and wider businesses, and Goulburn Options, who donated items for the raffles and silent auctions,” club public relations manager Jane Challis said.
“The night was very well supported by the local community, and everyone joined in and had fun playing games, activities and trivia led by quizmaster Ian Moore.”
The audience members’ thinking caps were on tight as they were quizzed on a wide range of topics.
While the main event was undoubtedly the tricky questions posed, a silent auction and raffles made the night a successful fundraiser.
Rotarian Chris Bence was thrilled to be the winning bidder on an artwork donated by Goulburn Options artist James Jones.

Ms Challis said the money raised would funnel back into the local community.
“The club is very happy with the money raised,” she said.
“The funds raised will go back into the community, supporting youth programs and many local and wider organisations.”
The club is looking forward to next year, when the community can again gather for another thought-provoking night of fundraising at the annual event.
The club also has exciting things coming soon.
“Our club is very excited that the Rotary Market is returning on September 21 from 9am to 1pm, and every third Sunday of the month at Chittick Park, Seymour,” Ms Challis said.
“A fabulous venue with food trucks, coffee, artisan, plants, speciality goods, pet supplies and live music.”
