Rotary selects winning writers

This years topic was ‘Why is Australia’s environment in a poor state of decline? What are the consequences?’

This is the second year the award included a primary and a secondary section.

The primary section winner Alex Morton and runner-up Tyler Van Eck are both in Year 6 at Puckapunyal Primary School.

Winner of the secondary section Jackie Boyd and runner-up Kyra Pearce are Year 7 students at St Mary’s College.

They all received a certificate and gift card provided by Seymour’s Rotary Club.

Many entries were received from primary and secondary schools in the district and were of a high quality, demonstrating students’ diverse understanding of this issue.
