The Yarrawonga Chronicle understands the Richmond Football Club will be visiting Yarrawonga next month, bringing players and coaching staff to the region for a multi-day camp involving the whole community.
From Tuesday 25th to Wednesday 26th November, Richmond players will engage with local schools during the day and host a series of afternoon of activities at the JC Lowe Oval.
The initiative is designed to provide young footballers and fans with direct access to AFL talent, skills coaching, and a chance to learn from one of the league’s most celebrated clubs.
It is also understood Richmond FC will host an open training session on Wednesday, which is expected to draw local AFL supporters and Tigers fans from across the region.
Keep an eye out for further details of a special Auskick clinic for local junior players, training sessions for YFNC AWJFL squads featuring Richmond players and coaches assisting with drills, and a meet and greet with players and coaches.
The JC Lowe Oval, a facility that has been steadily upgraded with the support of many local businesses will become the focal point for this exciting community event.
