The program gives some of the best and brightest musicians in the shire a chance to record their music and share their creations with Universal Music Group — an opportunity which could open doors for local talent.
Residents aged 12 to 24 are given the chance to excel in their craft without stress because drums, keys, bass and electric guitars are all provided.
Montville Lane Sessions Pop-Up Recording Studio helped provide the equipment with professional producer and engineer David Blake working directly with the artists.
‘‘The pop-up studio is a full offering, so artists can come in, as if they were on stage, and record their music. It is all ready to roll for artists to come in and hit the ground running,’’ Mr Blake said.
‘‘It is great for the inspiration of the musicians to come into a comfortable setting and have a go. The talent here is amazing, the virtuosity is incredible, and the level of song writing is brilliant.
‘‘And the feedback we have got from Universal Music has been positive.
Jas, 15, took part in the program and said it was a great experience.

‘‘I love music, and this has inspired me.’’
His band mate Andrew, 16, said it was great to immerse himself in the industry.
‘‘This is mind-blowing what we can do with just a couple of people and a few instruments.
‘‘I have learned so much here and it is pretty cool.’’
The Mitchell Shire’s Pop-Up Recording Studio will be held in Seymour from this Monday until Friday.
