Yarrawonga Police intercepted a 35-year-old Cobram man on October 28 and during a search of his car they found 30g of cannabis.
He received a caution for the cannabis and an infringement notice for driving while exceeding prescribed drugs.
Earlier that day, a 44-year-old Yea man was located with his stationary vehicle, which checks revealed was stolen.
Police searched the car where they found and seized cannabis, GHB, and Psilocybin, or magic mushrooms.
The man was interviewed at Yarrawonga Police Station where he was charged and bailed to attend Cobram Magistrates Court.
Operation Furlong success
Yarrawonga Police were out in force this long weekend for Operation Furlong targeting speeding and driver impairment.
Sergeant Colin Boyle stated as at 3pm on Monday, Yarrawonga police had conducted more than 400 breath tests and issued 18 fines and multiple charges for traffic related offences.
Police have been disappointed by the detection of a number of high range drink driving offences.
Drink driving prevalent
Yarrawonga police stopped a male driver from Cobram on the Murray Valley Highway at Yarrawonga on Tuesday, October 28 where he was required to undergo both a breath test and a drug test.
The 35-year-old driver tested positive for an illegal substance resulting in a $611 fine for driving whilst impaired and disqualified from driving for six months.
On Sunday, November 2 police observed an erratically driven Toyota Utility with a 24 year old male driver intercepted and undergoing a breath test resulting in a high range positive reading.
His licence was immediately suspended, his vehicle was impounded for 30 days and he will appear at Cobram Magistrates Court on a date to be fixed.
