Police arrest pair after series of Kialla Central car break-ins

Police believe the pair, who are both from Mooroopna, travelled from Torquay near Geelong to Kialla before breaking into a number of cars looking for wallets and other valuables.

Police have reminded people to lock cars and houses and to keep valuable items out of sight.

“People should make sure they lock their vehicles and not leave personal belongings in their vehicles or anything in sight that might tempt people to break in,” Detective Senior Constable Nathan Berryman said.

Earlier in the week, police urged Greater Shepparton residents to report suspicious activity if they saw any.

“We want to hear about it,” Sergeant Mark Phillips said.

“What seems unimportant or unsolvable, we want to know (about it).

“And, if we know about it, we can proactively patrol in those areas.”
