A $33,157 grant through the Regional Customer Facilities Program has been awarded to the local club to improve its facilities.
    
                  
                                                                
                  
                                            
                              
        The funding is part of over $730,000 for 18 regional racing venues across the state to improve racing infrastructure.

        Seymour Racing Club will use the funding to upgrade public areas with landscaping, new lawns, paths and replacement of timber picnic benches.
    
                  
                                                                
                  
                  
                                                                                                                                                                                    
                              
        Through the government’s Regional Customer Facilities Program, the 18 thoroughbred, harness or greyhound racing clubs will receive grants of up to $100,000 to deliver projects that upgrade function spaces, improve public amenities and purchase new equipment.
    
                  
                                                                                                                                                                                    
                              
        “These upgrades will make Seymour Racing Club an even better place for locals and visitors to come together — not just on race days, but for community events all year round,” state Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said.
