Nicholls candidate in town

Mr Brooks addressed the gathering and spoke about what he would like to achieve as the Federal Member for Nicholls given the opportunity by the voters of the electorate.

Mr Brooks has had a busy 39 years, having been born in Cobram and educated at Shepparton Grammar, RMIT University and University of Melbourne.

He was raised on a wheat and hay farm and has established a 6000-tree pomegranate orchard with his partner.

He worked for Glencorp for 18 years and spent some time overseas before returning to Australia and completing a Masters of Teaching. He has been teaching at Cobram Secondary College for the past three years.

Former Federal member Sharman Stone, who held the seat of Murray for 20 years, is chairing the campaign committee.
